8/19/08: South Haven Invite - The summer is rapidly ending and the cross country season is in full swing. The guys' and girls' cross country teams both won the South Haven Invitational scoring 23 and 24 points respectively. Tommy Brinn and Taylor Smith were Invite champs. Medalists for the guys included: Tommy Brinn 1st, Bryan Harvey 4th, Matt Darnell 5th, Trevor Brinn 6th, Chad Harvey 7th, Nate Dendel 8th, Just Schwartz 10th, and Grant Webber took the last medal placing 15th. The girls that took home hardware were Taylor Smith 1st, Schuyler Mattern 3rd, Ylva Elhammer 4th, Grace Hirzel 7th, and Mina Hirzel 9th.

8/27/08: St. Joseph Invite - The St. Joseph Invite was a great starting point for a lot of our new high school runners. Nearly all of our freshman started off their high school careers on a great flat course. Trevor Brinn led the way for the Bulldogs in the frosh/soph race with a 4th place finish. Robert Underwood and Bryan Harvey weren't far behind in 6th and 7th respectively. Tommy was 8th in the JR/SR race with Matt Darnell also breaking 18:00. Chad Harvey had a personal best 18:05 to also earn a medal. Justin Schwartz and Grant Webber also earned medals. In the end, the guys pulled out a very close one to take home the 1st place trophy. The Harvey brothers were the tiebreaker against Mattawan; each team scored 32 points.

On the lady's side, Taylor Smith finished 6th in the frosh/soph race and Celeste Webber finished 72nd. Shy Mattern and Ylva Elhammer scored/medaled in the junior/senior race while the ladies finished 10th overall. Combined the Bulldogs were 5th overall in the coed competition.

9/2/08: Three Rivers @ Meyer Broadway Park 5:00pm boys/5:30pm girls

Directions: Take US131 south through Three Rivers to Broadway Rd. Turn right. Meyer Broadway Park is about one mile down on the corner of Roberts and Broadway Rd. This is a 45 minute drive.

9/4/08: Paw Paw Invite @ Paw Paw M.S.

Directions: Take 102nd street west from Otsego. Turn left (south) on M40 (33rd st.) Take this all the way to Red Arrow Highway in Paw Paw (it's also E. Michigan St. in Paw Paw). Turn right. The Middle School is on the left side about a mile down. Turn left on Paw Paw Rd. and pull into the parking lot off of Paw Paw Rd.
